MUSCAT- AMOUAGE – BIRKAT AL MAUZ – JABAL AKHDAR

Before you leave the capital visit the Amouage factory. Discover the different incenses and get to know more about how one of the most expensive perfumes of the world is produced. From there you leave to the Hajjar mountains. Stop in Birkat al Mauz, a beautiful small village, surrounded by date and banana trees. From there you drive up to around 2000 m above sea level. Enjoy the beauty of Jebel Akhdar, which means green mountain, before you check in at your hotel. Enjoy a stop at Wadi Bani Habib and enjoy the 3 villages walk.

JABAL AKHDAR – BAHLA – JABREEN-NIZWA

Leave the mountain for a day excursion of the Nizwa area. First of all, you have some time to discover the traditional souq, which is divided in different sections like vegetables, dates, and souvenirs and famous for its silver jewellery and handmade khanjars (daggers). Proceed to the fort of the old capital and learn more about its interesting history. Leave Nizwa and continue to Bahla, a mystic city with one of the four UNESCO world heritage sites in Oman, Bahla Fort where you have the possibility to walk around the old village and for a photo stop. 

Last sight of the day is Jabreen castle. Known as the most beautiful castle in Oman you should not miss to visit the fort from inside, listening to the story of its builder Immam Bil’arub bin Sultan and his tragic history.

AL HAMRA – MISFAT AL ABRYEEN – WADI BANI AWF

Today you will leave the interior of Oman. First stop is Al Hamra. In the middle of the old village is a beautiful, renovated museum, which gives a glimpse of how Omanis used to live and some of them even live until today. Next stop will be the mountain village Misfat al Abriyeen which exists since ancient time. It is not possible to go through the village by car, so we take the opportunity to have a nice walk around the area.

An adventurous drive through the mountains with a lot of mesmerizing views and the beautiful village Bilad Said which invites you to walk around their green terrace fields. Today’s tour will end at the coastline of the Batinah region.

WADI ABYADH – NAKHL – WAKAN

Today’s unique adventure will bring you to the Bathina region, one of the most interesting but still undiscovered areas in Oman. First of all, you will discover Wadi Abyadh. 

Depending on the water level you will do some wadi bashing or even be able to have a bath or just have a walk in that area.

From there you will continue to one of the oldest settlements in this area. Nakhal has an impressive fort, built on a 60m high mountain. 

While your guide will show you around the different areas of the fort you will have a small glimpse of how the Omanis used to live. Drive through the old part of Nakhal, where mud houses are surrounded by gardens and reach Ain Thowarah, the hot spring system of Nakhal. 

In the early afternoon you will leave the city and proceed to the Hajjar mountains. A small village called Wakan, where locals still living the traditional Omani way, invites you to walk through its fruitful gardens to enjoy unique views over the mountain area. After the walk you will return to your hotel.
